Do you want to run with Tai during the attempt?

  • If you would like to run with Tai in support of his record attempt, please contact Jasnoor Wheadon, Tai’s wife on 07768 320167, who is continuing to support Tai from Bristol to Lands End.
  • A maximum of three runners can take part at any one time on main roads.
  • Please wear Hi-Viz tops when running on the roads.
  • All runners must run behind Tai in a crocodile formation to comply with police safety requirements.
  • Support runners must run at Tai’s pace and not be a hindrance / distraction in any way.

Below is a draft itinerary, which will likely change depending on how Tai is feeling, but a good guide for now and will be updated daily and possibly extended where required;

Anticipated daily start times are between 3-5am. Clearly, determination will be made the evening for the following day and advised accordingly on this webpage.

Day 1 – Start date Friday 24th July 2026. Confirmed start time 06:20.

Late start due to tracker concerns which we had to reboot around 06:10. The 06:20 start time was officiated by David Mowat (LEJOG finisher 2025) and his father Walter, a renowned and respected local businessman.

Day’s distance ran was circa 100 miles and we concluded at Alness on the A9 at 00:14, marked the course for the mornings return, and transported Tai to the hotel in Alness. He had already eaten pizza, so a case of a quick shower and sleep.

Day 2 – Start time was 06:48, and finish time was 22:38 Target distance ran was 80 miles, circa 280 km in total. We finished very near to Dalwhinnie Distillery, marking the cycle path for reference, to aid in tomorrow’s start

Today was a later start and earlier finish. Tomorrow will be much the same. One thing for sure – Tai loves his egg and bacon rolls – four in one day must be a record in itself! But when you are burning up the miles, you need to keep fuelling.

Day 3 – Start time was 06:56 and finish time was 00:45. Target distance ran was 80  miles, circa 400 km in total. Concluding just short of Dunfermline.

A day where signal for the tracker was at its worst so far, with delayed updates throughout the date. At one point, around 12:59 the tracker session stopped and we rebooted the device to restart it. When we do this the URL link on the website also changes and we update that as soon as we are able. So apologies if the tracker following was interrupted.

Day 4 – Start time was 07:37 and finish time was 22:30. Total distance ran was 475 km in total. Concluding just a few miles south of Blyth Bridge.

Day 5 – Start time was 07:06, finish time 23:16. Total distance ran was 568 km in total. Concluding Gretna.

Great meeting up with the JOGLE Legend Sharon Gaytor who ran with Tai for several miles and offered her experience of K-Taping, to Tai’s sore legs.

Day 6 – Start time was 06:58, finish time 18:27. Total distance ran was 613 km in total. Concluding at Penrith.

Tai had previously being suffering from ankle and Achilles issues. Also AT issues. We decided to do a medical time out and seek professional advice. Huge thanks to North Lakes Physio who kindly accommodated Tai into their busy schedule. With some advice and further K Taping it was decided that tomorrow, Tai will be back on the road.

Day 7 – Start time was 07:07 and finish time was 22:46. Total distance ran was 714 km. Concluding at Garstang.

Today, Tai is joined for the full day by the guys from PWR Endure, and at some point the legend that is Michael Williams (MTC JOGLE finisher and looking to the double this by completing the MTC LEJOG in October).

Day 8 – Start time was 07:21, and finish was 23:20. Total distance ran was 814 km. Concluding at Preston.

Day 9 – Start time was 07:25, and finish time tba. Total distance ran was 900 km. Concluding at Ludlow.

Day 10 – Start time was 07:05, and finish time 22:43. Total distance ran was 999 km, concluding Bristol side of the Severn Bridge.
The tracker hadn’t been charged overnight, so the first few hours we had the tracker in the vehicle gaining sufficient charge for the rest of the day. A great number of supporting runners throughout the day, including the Nick and Megan from Cancer Research Wales.

Day 11 – start and finish time tba. Total distance ran was 1,090 km. From the Bristol side of the Severn Bridge to Taunton.

Day 12-13 – Very probably these days will be combined, with Tai running through the night. Target Exeter through to Lands End.
