Tai Wheadon

Tai Wheadon is a proud Māori, Australian, and New Zealand ultra runner with a clear and unwavering goal: to become one of the world’s top UTMB 100K athletes.

Over the past two years, Tai has made his mark on the UK ultra running scene, taking first place in: River Run Backyard Ultra (NZ), Relish Running Bath km50 (UK), Hard Core Harry’s Last Man Standing (AUS), Winter Green Man Ultra 45 mile (UK), Radyr Trail Marathon (Wales), Bristol Severn 50km Ultra (UK), Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon (Spain).

In addition to his competitive schedule, Tai will be featured on ‘Search for Hurt’, a new endurance sports reality series airing on Channel 7 Australia, premiering in July 2025.

For 2026 Tai’s races include Badwater 135, Hurt 100, Marathon des Sables, and Leadville Trail 100. Tai also has his eyes set on breaking the JOGLE world record.

Darryl (Daz), is a fully qualified personal trainer providing online personalised coaching, nutritional support and fitness advice to athletes from beginner to elite in the field of running, cycling and triathlon. We have known Daz for years and he has won a few of our ultras:

The Malvern Hills Champion – 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014.  The Winter Green Man Ultra Champion – 2012 & 2013.  The Richmond Ultra Champion – 2015

In 2015 Daz took a break from ultras to concentrate on triathlons. But now he’s back! Daz also offers other runners bespoke training – see our Meet The Team section
