Severn Path Ultra 2020

Enviromental Policy Update:

Please note that ALL our races are now cup-free which means we will not be supplying cups and you will need to bring your own. We will provide water and squash dispensers and cola bottles for you to pour into your own cup.

Very soon we will have our own branded foldable and reusable cups for sale in our web-shop. You can either get these posted out to you in advance or collect them at registration on race day.

Race Overview
Meandering through Shrewsbury the course is flat and hugs the river until you cross a bridge at Atcham where the path remains away from the Severn until briefly touching at Cressage and then again at Buildwas. Ironbridge, Jackfield and Coalport, all producing stunning scenery and landmarks. The route continues to hug the Severn through Apley Forge, Bridgnorth, Hampton, Upper Arley, Bewdley, Stourport, finally reaching Top Barn Activity Centre, Holt Heath, the conclusion of The Severn Path Ultra

Competitors must achieve a minimum 4 mph otherwise they will not be allowed to continue.

Event Options and fees

Standard Solo Entry – £90.00 (includes CP Station food only)

Please note this is a point to point run – competitors must arrange their own transportation from the finish back home. Relay runners must also arrange their own transportation between checkpoints for their relay team.

Entry and logistics
Runners must arrive for registration at Wingfield Arms campsite between 06:00 and 06:30 on the 23rd May 2020. The race will start at 07:30. Please note if everyone is there before 07:30 we may start earlier.

Typical CP Food
Example of food on offer – malt loaf, jam, peanut, cheese & marmite butter sandwiches, sweets, squash and coke. We would ask however that you do not rely on these alone and take only what you need with consideration for the other runners still to come in to the checkpoints.

Camping
Camping facilities are only free of charge to those competing in the full Severn Challenge event. If you are only doing 1 or 2 days you can camp but at an additional fee and this must be booked and paid for in advance.. Please contact info@ultrarunningltd.co.uk for more information.

Finishers Medals and Awards
All finishers will receive a finishers medal. First male / female will receive an Original Buff which will be presented to them at the end of the race.

PLease note that bookings within four weeks of the event date cannot be guaranteed their medal type. This is because we commit to medal orders at this time.

Hiring of GPS equipment
As with all of Ultra Running Ltd Events, entrants have the facility to hire a Garmin for the duration of the race should they wish to do so at a nominal fee. For more information please click HERE

Rules
By signing up to one of Ultra Running Ltd events you agree to abide by our race rules which you can find HERE

In line with the race rules, you must maintain a minimum of 4mph. This equates to the following mandatory cut-off times (assuming a 7:30 race start);

Severn Path CP1 will close at 11:00
Severn Path CP2 will close at 14:15
Severn Path CP3 will close at 17:30
Severn Path CP4 will close at 20:45

Outside these times you will not be allowed to continue.
